Privacy

Privacy has become a major issue when it comes to using the Internet. When you post something and then delete it still leaves a footprint in the Internet, nothing is ever fully gone. Security is a problem because of a lot of hackers is able to breach a certain line and get into your personal information. Its hard for people to really know how safe what they are posting is. An example is the security breach of the website Ashley Madison, a website that allowed married folks to meet other married folks online. Hackers breached Ashley Madison’s security and released all of the names of the people using the website. This is just one of the many examples of how online access can lead to a lot of breaches of security. Another thing people can collect is what we research our search history and track us users through using cookies. Can that be considered an invasion of privacy? There is a lot of controversy and debate when it comes to the privacy of using the Internet. The most important thing is to not put too much important information online, and giving other peoples the chance to seize your information.
